The long-awaited heavyweight clash between Daniel Dubois and Joe Joyce has finally been rescheduled and confirmed! With multiple postponements, both the players are set to face each other in the octagon on 28th November in London.
The fight had originally been planned for April, however due to the corona outbreak it had to be pushed further to July, and then finally November. Joyce doesn’t seem to be too worried; he claims he is prepared and in excellent shape to face Dubois.
“It was great news to get the new date so I can finally punch up Dubois. Obviously, once lockdown started, I had a good idea we wouldn’t meet in July, but I was always staying on top of training,” says Joyce.
“Now gyms are open for athletes I can kick on and just keep my focus on the new date, finally settling the score with Dubois and moving on to a world title fight.”
Moreover, BT Sport promoter, Frank Warren, believes that Dubois vs Joyce is probably one of the biggest matches in UK boxing. “Dubois versus Joyce is the best fight on the British boxing calendar, and I want this to be something as many people as possible can enjoy. Above all, this is about making sure that the fans are looked after and this fight will be available to BT Sport subscribers,” claims Frank.
Dubois is probably one of the best boxers in the UK with his stellar record of fifteen wins, he’s ranked at #2 within the WBO and there are rumors that he could be in line to battle it out against Ukrainian, Oleksandr Usyk, ranked #1 at WBO if Joshua gives up his title to fight with Fury.
Dubois believes that he’s got what it takes to beat Usyk and Joyce, he says that his athleticism, speed, youth, power, and his smart mouth give him the upper hand with these players. According to Dubois, 28th November will be “A knockout. A devastating finish.”

As the world struggles to survive the Covid-19 global pandemic, it has seriously taken a toll on boxing matches. Ever since the implementation of the lockdown, fights are conducted behind closed doors. No audience is allowed inside the arena and the only way to watch the match live is to stream it live online.
Similarly, Daniel Dubois vs Joe Joyce will be carried out behind closed doors at the BT Sports Studio, and will be aired live from BT Sports official application/website.
