It was a game of mixed emotions when Arsenal traveled to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea last Sunday, November 30, in a bid to snatch all three points from their rivals next door. However, Maresca’s Blues weren’t an easy opposition to crack, with the ex-Leicester manager coming well-drilled against big oppositions this season (apart from Bayern), defeating Flick’s FC Barcelona midweek in the Champions League.

The game started with Chelsea on the front foot, keeping the home supporters on their feet, when the stakes of the game took a complete 180-degree turn in the 38th minute, which saw the engine of Chelsea’s midfield, Moises Caicedo, receive a red card on a dangerous tackle attempted at Arsenal’s Spaniard Mikel Merino.

The Premier League top 4 battle is on!
