What Is Eyezy?

Eyezy is a parental control app designed to track a child’s online activities. You can use this app on Android phones as well as on iOS devices.  Its intuitive dashboard acts as a central hub, allowing you to access everything from your phone or computer. You can track their location, view call logs, read texts and emails, and much more.

With powerful features like a screen recorder, text message scanning, keystroke capturing, plans breaker, connection blocker, and real-time alerts, Eyezy enhances your ability to keep your children safe online.

Additionally, it helps prevent cyberbullying and allows you to monitor screen time, though it doesn’t enforce limits. You can discreetly use Eyezy from your phone or desktop to monitor your kids’ iOS and Android devices.

How Does Eyezy Work?

After you install Eyezy on the target Android or iOS device, it runs discreetly in the background and collects data on the child’s phone activity. Eyezy comes with an Invisible Shield feature that keeps it completely hidden. That means no matter if you delete an app, take a screenshot, or block a website on the monitored device, Eyezy stays undetectable and won’t trigger any alerts.

Once installed, Eyezy lets you access a wide range of data, including:

• Phone call timestamps

Eyezy’s content monitoring is quite limited. It won’t automatically alert you if your child receives or searches for harmful or inappropriate content. Instead, you’ll need to set up keyword alerts for specific words you want Eyezy to track in messages.

On the plus side, parents can block certain websites, apps, and Wi-Fi networks. However, there’s no option to filter content based on sensitivity levels.

2. Text Messages

Just like with social media apps, Eyezy lets you see every SMS your child sends and receives. Plus, it can record the screen, giving you full access to their conversations.

3. Social Media and Phone Apps

Strangers can easily reach out to your child on social media, which can be concerning. Thankfully, Eyezy can monitor direct messages on platforms like Messenger and Instagram. It can even take screenshots of conversations and show you any media shared.

While this is a good way to help keep your child safe online, it might feel a bit intrusive to have access to every message they send and receive.

4. Content Filtering

Eyezy says it allows parents to block websites and apps, but we couldn’t find this feature anywhere in the app.

5. Location Tracking 

Eyezy’s location tracker does a great job of showing your child’s real-time location and location history for up to 60 days. However, it needs an internet connection to detect movement.

On the bright side, the geofencing feature is even better. It lets you create large zones and sends alerts when your child crosses a set boundary. You can also mark restricted areas for added safety.

However, there’s a downside—the alert system can take up to 15 minutes to notify you via email, and the emails can be a bit tricky to navigate.

Eyezy also includes a Wi-Fi network tracker, showing you which networks your child connects to. This can give you a better idea of their whereabouts.

6. Data Encryption and Security

Eyezy puts user security first by following strict security standards and using advanced encryption methods. It protects data with strong encryption, including RSA-4096 and AES-256.

On top of that, Eyezy uses high-quality antivirus software and powerful firewalls to keep your information safe.

7. Screen Time Management

Eyezy only tracks screen time—it doesn’t let you control it. You can see how long your child spends on specific websites or apps, but there’s no option to set time limits.

8. Alerts and Notifications

Eyezy’s Magic Alerts feature lets you set specific keywords and get notifications if your child talks about or searches for sensitive topics. It can also alert you when they enter restricted areas, helping you keep them safe.

However, it won’t notify you about inappropriate messages or content unless they match your chosen keywords. Plus, alerts are sent via email, so you’ll need to check your inbox or app dashboard. In my tests, some alerts were noticeably delayed.

9. Remote Access

Eyezy’s remote access feature lets you control the device without needing to be physically there. You can lock the phone, take screenshots, and even turn on the mic or camera.

It can even let you listen to your child’s conversations. While these features may feel intrusive, they are meant for extreme situations and are only available in the more expensive plans.

10. Keylogger 

Eyezy’s keylogger captures every keystroke on your child’s device, providing a detailed log of what they type in different apps and browsers.

However, since it records everything, you might end up with a lot of data that’s hard to sort through. Thankfully, there’s a filter option that lets you choose which apps’ keylogs you want to view.

One small downside is that new keystrokes can take up to 15 minutes to show up on your dashboard.

Is Eyezy Safe to Use?

Eyezy’s safety is questionable based on my experience. The app requires turning off Google Play Protect during installation, which is a major red flag since Play Protect is designed to keep Android devices secure from harmful apps. Skipping this step allows the app to be installed, but it still raises concerns about its security and trustworthiness.

Beyond that, the setup process is unnecessarily complicated. Several advertised features, such as email monitoring and internet search tracking, were missing. This could be due to downloading the app from Google Play instead of the official website, but that in itself is an issue—parents shouldn’t have to take extra risks to access promised features.

There were also functionality problems. The device never connected to the online dashboard, limiting access to features that might have been available on the website. Additionally, Eyezy is designed only for mobile devices, leaving out computer monitoring, which is an essential part of keeping kids safe online.

While some features, like location tracking, worked, they were slow to update. Given the app’s high cost, it doesn’t seem to offer enough value to justify the price. Overall, Eyezy appears unreliable, with security concerns and missing features that make it difficult to recommend.

Is Your Data Secure With Eyezy?

The app says that it prioritizes its user’s privacy and data security. The app also claims it follows strict security standards and uses advanced encryption protocols. According to Eyezy, this ensures that only users can access their monitored data and even the app’s team can’t view it. 

Having said that, some users have raised concerns about Eyezy’s installation process, especially the need to disable Google Play Protect. This security feature is specifically designed to protect Android devices from harmful apps, so turning it off during installation might make you question the app’s safety and your data’s security.

Considering this, it’s important to balance Eyezy’s data security promises with user feedback and potential risks. Before moving forward, make sure you’re comfortable with the installation steps and understand how they could affect your device’s security.

Final Verdict: Is Eyezy Worth It?

Eyezy presents itself as the best parental control app, but it doesn’t deliver up to the mark. The app’s installation process is not so smooth. Plus, it also lacks some key features, such as screen time management and cyberbullying alerts. The pricing compared to the offerings is also very high. So, I would say that if you need an all-rounder parental solution, you can find other better alternatives. Other apps offer easier setup, functionality, and better value compared to the Eyezy app.
